RED-LIGHT THERAPY

What is Red-Light Therapy?

Red Light Therapy, also known as photobiomodulation (PBM), uses selected wavelengths of red and near-infrared light. These wavelengths interact with light-sensitive structures within cells and are being studied for their influence on mitochondrial activity, cellular signalling and the body’s natural response to physical activity and recovery.

Red wavelengths are generally absorbed more superficially, while near-infrared wavelengths can penetrate more deeply into tissue. This combination makes full-body red and near-infrared light increasingly popular within sport, recovery and wellness routines.

At Delamere Thrive, sessions are non-invasive, comfortable and easy to incorporate around training, work and everyday life. You simply relax under the light for the session, lie back and unwind.
